I'm Marc, a freelance
UI designer & web
developer in London.
I can work throughout the design and development of a project whether it's a static or CMS Microsite, large CMS or eCommerce store; from the initial concept to design & development, browser compatibility & bug testing.
I'm a Drupal specialist. I chose Drupal for its power and flexibility and the ability to scale depending on each projects requirements. I design & theme Drupal sites as well as develop modules for the system.
I design, create and test HTML emails that don't fall apart and won't land you in the spam folder (depending on quality of content and spam score of course). I also create static and Flash adverts for online banner campaigns.
I enjoy creating User Interfaces and highly-focused eCommerce stores but also like turning my hand to just about any area of design.
I co-founded & ran a design company, Realworks Media for 6 years after some not so noteworthy school leaver jobs. This gave me a great deal of experience with project management, client relations and the ins-and-outs of business in a large number of industries. It's been a steep learning curve but has proven invaluable in appreciating the importance of asking questions and good communication.
I'm confident in my ability and happy with my skill set although I constantly seek to improve and keep up with new techniques & technology.
So after 6 odd years running a small firm, our office lease was up and my business partner and I decided to go on hiatus. We put our desks on a bonfire and danced around it. Then I headed for the Big Smoke and pebble beach of Brighton to mix it up a bit as a "rockstar freelancer" - I suppose. I enjoy freelancing as it compliments my lifestyle of travelling and meeting people and hope that shows in my work.
I'm a workaholic and a perfectionist who's always looking to work on exciting projects with interesting people.
